Helen Eva Riley of Coweta passed away on Tuesday morning, May 22, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was 82 years old. Helen was born on August 2, 1924 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Zimmery and Grace (Jones) Talley. She received her education in the Wewoka school system. On July 22, 1939, she and Thomas Riley were united in marriage in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. They came to the Coweta area in 1952 from Los Angeles, California. Helen worked as a cook at Gatesway Foundation for three years and at Midway Café for five years. Her hobbies included fishing and cooking. She was an avid O. U. football fan. Survivors include four sons, Jack Riley and his wife, Faye, of Sapulpa, Tommy Riley and his wife, Brenda, of Coweta, Collin Riley and his wife, Valeta, of Haskell, and Carl Riley and his wife, Linda, of Porter; two daughters, Audrey Smith and her husband, Lonny, of Holdenville, Oklahoma and Joan Riley of Coweta; one brother, J.D. Talley and his wife, Betty of Cleveland, Oklahoma; eighteen grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2007 at Abundant Rain Ministries Church in Coweta with Reverend Ron Spradlin officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Coweta.
