Heath Andrew Bates

Heath Andrew Bates, age 34, resident of Tulsa departed this life on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Heath was born on August 23, 1984 in Wagoner, OK and was the son of Mark and Sharon (Bailey) Bates. He received his education at Tahlequah schools. Heath worked as an Insulation Installer at Comfort Insulation Company in Coweta. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, singing, and playing his guitars. Heath is survived by his father, Mark Bates of Coweta, OK; his mother, Sharon Bates of Okmulgee, OK; four children, Mikayla Nelson of Okmulgee, OK, Malachi Bates of Okmulgee, OK, McKenzie Bates of Okmulgee, OK, and Myrissa Bates of Tulsa, OK; his grandmother, Estel Bates of Broken Arrow, OK; two brothers, Jason W. Bates of Tulsa, OK and Timothy Bates of Tulsa, OK; one sister, Mindy Bates of Okmulgee, OK; two step-sisters, Kalea Hudson-Jackson and Kyndal Hudson-Stout; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Heath was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Willis Bates and his maternal grandparents, Speck and Helen Bailey. Viewing will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating Heath's life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Sunnyside Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK with Pastor Ron Spradlin officiating.
