Harry Eugene Moody, age 91, resident of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away at his home in Broken Arrow, OK, on Sunday, January 12, 2025. He was born on November 21, 1933, in Kaw City, OK to Harry and Lucille Moody.
Harry grew up in Kaw City, where he attended school. His commitment to service was evident when he enlisted in the United States Army on April 30, 1951. He served his country with honor and distinction, achieving the rank of Sergeant before receiving an honorable discharge on February 2, 1954.
After his military service, Harry embarked on a successful career in the oil field industry. He owned and operated Coweta Pipe and Supply in Coweta, OK, and Kellyville Pipe and Supply in Kellyville, OK. His work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit were well-known, and he was highly regarded by colleagues and customers alike. Before retiring, Harry also enjoyed a fulfilling tenure as a salesman at Kerr RV and Tulsa RV.
In 1954, Harry married the love of his life, Patricia Lou (Burgess) Moody. Together, they shared a beautiful marriage of 60 years, filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. The couple enjoyed traveling in their RV, exploring new places, and creating lasting memories. Harry also had a passion for gambling and camping, activities that brought him joy and relaxation.
Harry's legacy is lovingly carried on by his devoted family. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Littleton and her husband David of Broken Arrow, OK; his sons, Larry Moody and his wife Darla of Collinsville, OK, and Gary Moody of Decatur, TX.; his grandchildren, Christina Hemmerich and her husband Robert, Bethany Moody, and Jacob Littleton and his wife Julie; his great-grandchildren, Shelby Moore, Trystan Moore, Stevie Moore, Alexis Hemmerich, Ryker Moody, Cilix Bruce, and Scarlet Littleton; his brother, Richard Moody and his wife Kellie of Chandler, AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Patricia Lou Moody; his parents, Harry and Lucille Moody; and his siblings, Wesley Moody, Billy Moody, Maxine O'Quinn, and Betty June Moody.
A private family service will be held at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK, where Harry will be laid to rest with full military honors. This final salute to a life well-lived will be a testament to his service to his country and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who knew him.
