Harold Willhoite

Harold Lee Willhoite, age 83, of Coweta, OK passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, May 15, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Harold was born on March 27, 1930 in Coweta, OK and was the son of Irvin and Grace (Moore) Willhoite. Harold was a 1947 graduate of Coweta High School. After high school, Harold served in the United States Air Force. He and Betty Amos were united in marriage in July of 1952 in Kingfisher, OK and she preceded him in death on April 28, 2008. Harold worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for most of his life until he retired. He was a member of Shahan Freewill Baptist Church in Coweta. Harold enjoyed farming and being around people. Harold is survived by his 3 sons, Raymond Willhoite and wife, Donna, of Tulsa, OK, Steve Willhoite and wife, Susan, of Louisburg, KS and Jay Willhoite Coweta, OK; his daughter, Sharon Willhoite of Coweta, OK; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Willhoite, his parents, Irvin and Grace Willhoite and one daughter. Funeral services for Harold are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. Lynn Moss officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Chris Anderson, Jerry Hall, Shand Pyles, Kalon Pyles, Brian Willhoite and Brandon Willhoite.
