Harley L. Waldrup, age 78, life-long resident of Coweta, Okla. passed away Saturday morning, November 23, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Harley was born on May 11, 1935 in Coweta, Okla. and was the son of Claude and Ethel (Simmons) Waldrup. He was a graduate of Coweta High School. Harley and Flo Claxton were united in marriage on March 17, 1956 in Coweta, Okla. Harley worked at TK International as a Supervisor and he owned and operated Eastside Septic Service until he retired. He was a member of Shahan Free Will Baptist Church in Coweta. Harley enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, team roping and trail riding. He will be missed as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. Harley is survived by his wife of 57 years, Flo Waldrup of the home in Coweta, Okla.; his daughters, Brenda Peters & husband, Tim, of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Leanne Bryan & husband, Mitch, of Norman, Okla.; his sister, LaDonna Neely of Clinton, Okla.; his brother, James Claude Waldrup of Coweta, Okla.; 4 grandchildren, Craig, Bradley, Lynsey and Brady; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Harley was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Ethel Waldrup. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, November 26, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Okla. with Rev. Lynn Moss officiating. A private burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Craig Withers, Steve Bryan, Michael Bryan, Ron Bell, Jeff Tyler and John Woods. Honorary Pallbearers are Craig Southern, Bradley Bryan, Brady Southern and Erich VonHolt.
