Glenda Jean Verner, age 65, resident of Haskell, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, March 8, 2025, at Haskell Care Center in Haskell, Oklahoma. She was born on August 17, 1959, in Newport News, Viriginia.

Glenda attended Roland Schools in Roland, Oklahoma. Her passion for nurturing others led her to a career as a cook in the restaurant industry, where she was known for her delicious meals and welcoming smile.

Family was the cornerstone of Glenda's life. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Rebecca Hale and husband Lucas of Boynton, Oklahoma; her sons, James Taylor of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and David Taylor of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her brother, Joe Christian and wife Barbara of Missouri; her sister, Tina Woods and husband Rocky of Muldrow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Sebastian Carson of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Zackary Eubanks and wife Desiree of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Taylor White of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Harley Holton of Poteau, Oklahoma; two cherished great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Norma and Nick Carter; her father, Linton Cloud; her brothers, Vernon Cloud, Adam Carter, and Lin Cloud; and her granddaughter, Alexis Carson.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Glenda found peace and joy in fishing and camping with her family. These simple pleasures brought her immense happiness and provided countless cherished memories for her family, who will continue to honor her legacy by embracing the beauty of nature just as she did.

Glenda's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friendship. Her gentle demeanor and unwavering support were a comfort to all. Though she has departed from this earth, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
