Glenda Jean Mccollaum

Glenda Jean McCollaum, age 77, resident of Okemah, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, February 22, 2022 in Okemah, Oklahoma.  Glenda was born on February 3, 1945 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to Peeler “Pete” and Zelma (Pennington) Cantrell.  She worked at Lucent Technology as a technician from 1966 – 2000.  Glenda was a member of Crossroads Cowboy Church in Okemah, Oklahoma.  She enjoyed decorating, working on crafts, collecting crosses, sunflowers, and she loved spending time with her family.

Glenda is survived by three children, Rhonda Marshall of Okemah, Oklahoma, Lucia Silkwood and her husband Rick of Okemah, Oklahoma, and Jeff Hopkins and his wife Suni of Anniston, Alabama; her brother, James Cantrell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her sister, Helen Conner of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Zelma Cantrell; her daughter, Stephanie Camille Hopkins; her sister, Myna Gilbert; her brother, L.D. Cantrell; her brothers-in-law, HV Conner and Edgar Gilbert; and her sister-in-law, Kathryn Cantrell.

A memorial service celebrating Glenda’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Randy Matthews officiating.
