Georgia Evelyn Booth, age 79, long-time resident of Coweta, a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, March 8, 2012 at her home in Coweta, OK. Georgia was born on June 30, 1932 in Tulsa County, OK and was the daughter of George Washington and Thelma (Glimps) McClendon. On July 21, 1951, Georgia was united in marriage to George Booth in Van Buren, AR and they later separated. Georgia worked as an occupational therapist for the State of Oklahoma. Georgia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta. Georgia's hobbies included playing bingo and visiting with people. Georgia is lovingly survived by her daughter, Karen Robinson and husband, John, of Coweta; her son, Lloyd Booth and wife, Abby, of Coweta; five brothers, Bill McClendon of Berryhill, Randy McClendon of Henryetta, Gary McClendon of Porter, Larry McClendon of Rose, OK, and Jim Neal of Broken Arrow; two sisters, Faye Jenkins of Henryetta and Barbara Barnett of Porter; four grandchildren, Michael Wheat, Jr., Douglas Booth, Jacob Booth, and Matthew Booth; seven great grandchildren and triplets on the way; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Shelly, and one sister, Bonita. Funeral services for Georgia are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Coweta with Rev. Ed Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Brian Edwards, Ryan Klahr, Michael Wheat, Jr., Douglas Booth, Jacob Booth, and Matthew Booth.
