George W. Robbins, age 90, of Coweta passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 at St. John Hospital in Broken Arrow, OK. George was born on November 7, 1921 in Wagoner, OK and was the son of Amzie and Josephine (Green) Robbins. George was a proud veteran of the United States Army Air Force. He enlisted on October 12, 1942 and was honorably discharged on December 11, 1945. He and Ollie Mae Jackson were married in 1942 in Wagoner, OK. George and Mary (Hobbs) Robbins were married in 1972 in Chicago, IL and she preceded him in death. George worked for an Ink Company in Chicago, IL. He enjoyed yard work and gardening. George is lovingly survived by his daughter, Georgia Mae Robbins-Bailey and her husband, Lenzie of Coweta, OK; his two sisters, Elsie Robbins-Fields of Newburg, NY and Gladys Robbins of Wagoner, OK; one grandchild, Kendric Ollie Bailey of Tempe, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one step-son, eight brothers, and five sisters. Funeral services for George are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, October 6, 2012 at First Baptist Church, 800 S. Martin Luther King Ave., Wagoner, OK.
