Graveside services celebrating the life of Ray Nail will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK with Pastor Bob Green officiating. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Brown Family Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Ray Nail, age 73, longtime Coweta resident went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his home in Coweta, OK surrounded by his family. Ray was born on October 13, 1944 in Bokoshe, OK to George Adam and Lillie Mae (Glass) Nail. He was raised and attended school in Okay, OK. Ray married the love of his life, Linda Kay (Blair) Nail on October 19, 1962 in Coweta, OK and they had three children, Lesia, Johnny and Adam. He worked at Chandler Materials as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Tulsa for 52 years until he retired in 2016. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta. Ray enjoyed fishing, bow fishing, camping, mowing his neighbors' yards, watching Adam play football and his grandchildren play sports and activities and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He never met a stranger and loved everyone. Ray is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Nail of the home in Coweta, OK; one daughter, Lesia Thomas of Coweta, OK; two sons, Johnny Nail of Coweta, OK and Adam Nail of Coweta, OK; one sister, Doris Rankin and husband, William of Wagoner, OK; six grandchildren, Cassie Walenciak and husband, Gus, Collin Nail, Raven Nail, Colton Nail, Destiny Wilson and husband, Boone and Adam Nail Jr.; four great grandsons, Corey Leathers, Ian Leathers, Forrest Leathers and Cooper Nail; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, George Adam and Lillie Mae Nail, four sisters, Myrtle, Lula Mae, Thelma Deanie and Ruby, three brothers, Charley, Frankie and Johnny and one granddaughter, Heather Thomas. Pallbearers are Collin Nail, Colton Nail, Adam Nail Jr., Gus Walenciak, Boone Wilson and Larry Lamb. Honorary Pallbearers are Corey Leathers, Ian Leathers, Forrest Leathers and Cooper Nail.
