Gary Wade "Red" Goodell, age 68, resident of Coweta departed this life on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Grace Living Center in Tahlequah, OK. Red was born on December 6, 1950 in Wagoner County, OK and was the son of Albert Thomas and Faith Corinne (Young) Goodell. He was a graduate of Coweta High School. Red was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enlisted in the Army on April 28, 1970 and was honorably discharged on January 30, 1972. Red owned and operated Goodell Fabrication in Wagoner, OK for many years. He enjoyed building race cars and going to the car races and swap meets. Red is survived by two brothers, Jerry Goodell and wife, Jennie of Bixby, OK and Mark Goodell of Coweta, OK; three sisters, Brenda Chaney of Coweta, OK, Sandra Olden and husband, Don of Coweta, OK and Anita Todd of Cornelia, GA; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Red was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Thomas and Faith Corrine Goodell and one brother, Ronnie Goodell. A memorial service celebrating Red's life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Brody Morris officiating.
