Garry Douglas Clausing

Garry Douglas Clausing, age 74, was born on June 28, 1942 in Tulsa, OK. His parents were William Clausing Jr. and Gloria Dawn (Rude) Clausing. Garry passed into his Heavenly Arms on May 23, 2017. Garry attended Coweta School all twelve years graduating in 1960. He excelled in baseball, basketball and won several conference trophies. He also was a honor student. He was an avid reader. Garry was offered scholarships but chose to attend TU on an Engineering scholarship, starting his long working relationship with Channel 8 Television Company. He retired after 42 years of excellence. His splendid attitude towards his peers while working at Channel 8 captured many loyal friends throughout his life. He enjoyed music, square dancing and photography. Garry is survived by by his children, loving daughter, Lorri Dawn Goodnight and husband, Jeff of Coweta; sons, Tyler Douglas Clausing and wife, Shelbi of North Carolina and Jerry Clausing of Council Hill; 1 brother, Larry William Clausing and wife, Debbie of Tulsa; grandchildren, Katie Goodnight, April Ann Rupe and husband, Eli, Hudson Clausing; great grandchild, McKinley Rupe; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Garry was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Clausing Sr., his father, William Clausing Jr. and his mother, Gloria Dawn Clausing. Garry loved the Lord. He was a blessing to all. A memorial service celebrating Garry's life will be at 11 AM on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Grace Free Will Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK with Pastor Jason Hutsell officiating.
