Freddy D. Carver, age 54, of Coweta passed from this life on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at his home. Freddy was born on February 20, 1953 to Lester and Bernice (Acree) Carver. He received his education in the Coweta school system and graduated from Coweta High School in 1971. He received his Associate Degree from Tulsa Community College. He and Sheila Johnson were united in marriage on June 16, 1997 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Freddy worked as a mason for Brazil Masonry for 25 years. His hobbies included basketball, woodworking, and country and western dancing. Survivors include his wife, Sheila, of the home; three daughters, Lisa Morgan of Coweta, Oklahoma, Robin Williams of Houston, Texas, and Stephanie Peace of Checotah, Oklahoma; two brothers, John Carver of Coweta, Oklahoma and Tommy Carver of Carterville, Georgia; seven sisters, Linda Groover, Ann Carver, Bonnie Davis, Donna Bratton, Juanita "Squeakie" Nichols, Becky Satterfield, and Penny Jarman; and one grandchild, Emma Jane Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Billy Carver, and one sister, Sue Garrison. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. David Jones officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
