Floyd Dewayne Williams, age 67, of Coweta, Okla. was born on September 16, 1949 to Edgar Artie "Pete" and Augusta Elizabeth (Hurst) Williams in Igloo, S.D. Floyd passed away on Monday morning, March 13, 2017 at his home in Coweta, Okla. surrounded by his family. Floyd's Cherokee Indian name is "Tall Wolf". He married the love of his life, LeNora L. (Cotner) Williams on September 6, 1968 in Poteau, Okla. Floyd worked at Crane Carrier Company as a Shop Foreman for 45 years until he retired. He was a Western Cherokee Nation member. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, LeNora L. Williams on April 27, 2016, his parents, E.A. "Pete" and Augusta Williams and 1 brother, Winfred Williams. Floyd is survived by 2 daughters, Nora Lee Williams-Rosebrock of Santa Fe, Tex. and Anna Marie Joyner and husband, Henry "Bear" of Eufaula, Okla.; 2 brothers, John Williams of Inola, Okla. and Wilburn Williams; 4 grandchildren, Cordell Key Rosebrock of Calif., Devin Quinn Rosebrock and wife, Chiann of Ogden, Utah, Tala Lee Joyner of Eufaula, Okla. and Aidan Chance Rosebrock of Santa Fe, Tex.; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his Crane Carrier family. A memorial service celebrating Floyd's life will be at 3:17 PM on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Okla. with Rev. Brody Morris officiating.
