Florence Lorene Dever of Coweta, age 65, a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, March 22, 2013 at her home in Coweta, OK with her family at her bedside. Florence was born on December 27, 1947 in Tulsa, OK and was the daughter of Cecil Hugh and Lorene May (Willis) Rice. Florence was a 1966 graduate of Wagoner High School. Florence and Jim Ray Dever were united in marriage on May 1, 1967 in Stigler, OK. Florence worked as a seamstress for most of her life until she retired. Florence enjoyed sewing, quilting, and she loved spending time with her grandkids and her family. Florence is survived by her husband, Jim Dever of the home; her son, Dwayne Dever of Claremore, OK; her daughters, Julie Hamblin and husband, Dan, of Skiatook, OK and Terri Crites and husband, Barry, of Coweta, OK; her brothers, Marvin Rice of Broken Arrow, OK and Cecil "Pedro" Rice of Wagoner, OK; six grandchildren, Travis & Kristen Dever, Kayla & Brooklyn Turner and Jessica & Clinton Crites; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Lorene Rice, two brothers, Hobert Kelley and John Rice and one sister, Liz Rooks. Funeral services for Florence are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Wright-Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Chaplain Roy Betz officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Barry Crites, Steve Dever, Gary Farmer, Darrin Farmer, Travis Dever and Stan Smith officiating.
