Faye Allen-Denton

Faye Allen-Denton, age 80, life-long resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday morning, October 31, 2012 at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. Faye was born on November 9, 1931 in Caulfield, MO and was the daughter of Raymond and Effie (Howard) Hensley. Faye received her education in Bakersfield, MO. Faye and Boyce Allen were united in marriage on December 24, 1947 in Gainesville, MO and were married 48 years until he preceded her in death on April 17, 1996. Faye then married Lee Roy Denton on March 7, 1997 in Coweta, OK. Faye worked as a housekeeper for around 25 years. She was a member of the Porter First Free Will Baptist Church. Faye enjoyed cooking, reading and baking. Faye will be missed as a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and friend. Faye is survived by her husband, Lee Roy Denton of the home; her three sons, Rodney Allen of Porter, Roger Allen and Greg Allen, both of Coweta; her daughter, Clemie Chapman of Coweta; one brother, Steve Hensley of Coweta; three sisters, Ann Scott, Lois Meadows and Shirley Renshaw, all of Coweta; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce Allen, her parents, Raymond and Effie Hensley, one sister, one brother and two great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, November 5, 2012 at New Home Free Will Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. Bobby Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Dwayne Jenkins, Rusty Voyles, David Dickey, Kevin Jenkins, Matt Moore and Rick Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are Leonard Cornelius, Bobby Hillhouse and Aaron Walker. The family of Faye Allen-Denton entrusted her care and services to Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home, 210 S.
