Fannie Ruth (Jordan) Denny

Fannie Ruth Denny, age 90, resident of Coweta, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday afternoon, July 4, 2022 at Cornerstone Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Fannie was born on January 19, 1932 in Cherokee County, Oklahoma to Dick and Dora (Whitehouse) Jordan. She attended Eureka Schools and was a graduate of Prairie Valley Schools in Cherokee County, Oklahoma. Fannie worked at Brockway Glass as a Glass Packer for over 40 years until she retired. She always loved playing spider solitaire and dominoes.

Fannie is survived by her great nephew/son, Rusty Baker; her kids, Shane Denny and Angie Mathus; her sisters, Agnes (Jordan) McCleland and Betty (Jordan) Sanders; her nephews and nieces, Johnny and Lori Baker, Karen and Dalen Rowan, and Linda and Jim Johnson; and numerous other nieces and nephews that she loved greatly.

Fannie was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Dora Jordan, four brothers, Sam Jordan, Henry Jordan, Leo Jordan, and Richard Jordan, and three sisters, Johnnie (Jordan) Baker, Ella (Jordan) O’Dell, and Mary Jo (Jordan) Teague.

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Services celebrating Fannie’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma. Fannie will be laid to rest at Miller Cemetery in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Johnny Baker, Jim Johnson, Aaron McCleland, Michael McCleland, Chris Langlois, and Shane Denny. Honorary Pallbearers are Bailey Cooper and Glenda Ball.
