Faith Goodell

Faith C. Goodell, longtime resident of Coweta, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 28, 2011 at Coweta Manor Nursing Home in Coweta, OK at the age of 83. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Faith was born on April 10, 1927 in Hulbert, OK to Robert and Lillie (Ghormley) Young. She obtained her education in Tahlequah, OK. On May 5, 1948 she married Albert Goodell. She worked at St. Francis Hospital as a seamstress for 19 years until she retired. Faith enjoyed quilting, listening to gospel music and gardening, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Faith is lovingly survived by her three sons, Jerry Goodell and wife, Jenny, of Bixby, OK, Gary Goodell of Coweta, OK and Mark Goodell of Coweta, OK; her three daughters, Brenda Chaney of Coweta, OK, Sandra Olden and husband, Don, of Coweta, OK and Anita Todd and husband, Russell, of Alto, GA; her three brothers, Burt Young of Michigan, George Young of Wagoner, OK and Roger Young of Coweta, OK; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Faith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Ronnie Goodell, four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services for Faith will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Abundant Rain Ministries in Coweta, OK with Pastor Ron Spradlin officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Family and friends may send condolences to the family online at www.wrightfh.net.
