Evelyn Louise Cole

Evelyn Louise Cole, a beacon of warmth and love, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in Tahlequah, OK, at the age of 92. She was born on February 9, 1932 to George and Bessie (McCoy) Haynes, in Gadsden, TN. Her final days were spent surrounded by the love and care of the staff at Go Ye Senior Living in Tahlequah, OK.

Evelyn's early years were spent in California, where she attended school. Evelyn was a devoted homemaker, a role she cherished and in which she excelled.

In the spring of 2015, Evelyn's heart found its match when she married Clifford A. Cole in Tahlequah, OK. Evelyn's interests were deeply rooted in her love for her family, and she found great joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Evelyn's legacy is carried on by her beloved husband, Cliff Cole, who stood by her side with unwavering support and love. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Patterson of California, and her daughter, Vicky Hurles. Evelyn's memory will be cherished by her stepchildren, Valerie Pierce, Marilyn Trask, and Rick Cole, as well as by her many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Evelyn's presence was a gift to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and unwavering dedication to her family have left an indelible mark on the lives of many.

Evelyn’s journey on earth may have concluded, but her story will be told with fondness and admiration. Her life was a beautiful reflection of the love she gave so freely, and she will forever be remembered as a cherished wife, mother, sister, and friend. Rest in peace, dear Evelyn, until we meet again.
