Tulsa

Eva Mae Hargrove, age 55, beloved daughter, sister, and mother, was born on April 23, 1969, at General Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Elnora "Cookie" (Parker) Brewer and the late Robert Brewer, Jr. Eva passed away unexpectedly due to complications from diabetes on Monday, June 3, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her life was a beacon of joy and service, and she will be remembered fondly by all those who knew and loved her.

Eva was raised with traditional values in Coweta and was a proud graduate of Coweta High School. She carried her pursuit of knowledge further, attending Bacone College and Conners State in Muskogee to complete her Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) degree. As a CMA, Eva dedicated her life to the care of others, working at Trinity Woods Retirement Community for 25 years and the Hillcrest Heart Institute for 12 years with compassion and diligence. Though she lived in Tulsa, she enjoyed her joyous time visiting family in Coweta. Especially, spending special time with her mother, driving her around.

Eva stood as the cornerstone of her family. Despite the challenges of being a single mother, she raised her son Deangelo Brewer with love and tenacity. Eva's spirit is also kept alive by her surviving mother, grandson Deangelo Hargrove, Jr., Companion Demarco Williams, and two brothers. Eva's father, a brother, and daughter welcomed her at the gates of Heaven.

Known for her kindness, Eva was a happy, positive person, whose laughter and good energy were contagious. She was a magnet for those seeking light and fun in their lives, never shying away from speaking her mind and standing true to her beliefs. Her legacy of love, fun, and an unyielding desire to help others remain the hallmarks of her character.

Eva Mae Hargrove will be dearly missed by her mother and work family that she was so close to, along with her only son that she cherished so much.

She was a bright star in the lives of many, and her memory will continue to inspire and bring warmth to all who were fortunate to cross her path.
