Eric Walker

Eric Lyn Walker, age 58, of Coweta passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at his home in Coweta, OK. Eric was born on February 20, 1955 in Coweta, OK and was the son of Elba S. and Laura Bell (Young) Walker. Eric was a 1973 graduate of Coweta High School. Eric worked at Hale-Halsell Company in Tulsa, OK for over 20 years. Eric and Judy Kay James were united in marriage and they later separated. He then married Glenda Berry on April 21, 2011 in Cherokee County, OK. Eric was of the Free Will Baptist faith. Eric enjoyed reenacting the Civil War, baseball, drawing and boating. Eric is survived by his wife, Glenda Walker of the home; his daughter, Heather Ferreira of Coweta, OK; his son, Adam Walker of Tulsa, OK; his sister, Patricia Steelmon of Hulbert, OK; 2 grandchildren, Amy Ferreira and Ignacio Ferreira; and 1 nephew. Eric was preceded in death by his parents and his paternal and maternal grandparents. Funeral services for Eric are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Wright-Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Gerald Pilant officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are the United States Field Artillery Association, Arthur Street, Jeremy Street, Horace Lindley, Larry Collins, Eddie Stout and John Mayfield. Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby Walker, Mike Walker, Lawrence Walker, Floyd Stephens, Jr., Ronald Adkins, Tommy Cook, Randy Knight and Troy Young.
