Elva Boyd

Elva M. Boyd, age 92, of Grove passed from this life on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Grove Nursing Home in Grove, OK. She was born on December 1, 1915 in Jasper, Arkansas to James Bradford and Rosalee Jones. Elva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family. She attended school in the Jasper, AR area. Elva was a homemaker for most of her life. She and Hiram K. Boyd were united in marriage. Elva was a member of the Church of Christ. Her hobbies included painting and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Elva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son-in-law, Kenneth Hale, four brothers, and two sisters. Elva is lovingly survived by two sons, Mike Boyd and his wife, Pat, of Irving, TX and Gerry Boyd and his wife, Linda, of Pryor; three daughters, Nedra Hale of Grove, Carol Gardner and her husband, Gary, of Punta Gorda, FL, and Brenda Replogle and her husband, Wes, of Grove; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
