Elresa Louise Pembrook

Elresa Louise Pembrook, age 75, of Broken Arrow went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, May 25, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Elresa was born on April 26, 1942 to Locie Allen and Florence Ellen (Weeks) Wilcox in Fairview, OK. She was a graduate of Fairview High School. Elresa married the love of her life, Orvin Lawrence Pembrook on October 8, 1960 in the Fairview area and he preceded her in death in 2015. She was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family. Elresa was a member of New Home Free Will Baptist Church in Coweta. In her spare time, she enjoyed embroidery, traveling, camping, watching birds and she loved her dog, Shorty. Elresa was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Elresa is lovingly survived by 1 son, Albert Pembrook and wife, Tammy of Broken Arrow, OK; 1 daughter, Tammy Poplin and husband, David of Coweta, OK; 2 brothers, A.J. Wilcox and wife, Glenda of Canton, OK and Ronald Wilcox and wife, Ruby of Fairview, OK; 1 sister, Elsie Whitten and husband, Melvin of Okeene, OK; 5 grandchildren, Tabatha Doerr and husband Justin, Jeremy Poplin and wife Laura, Trent Pembrook, Hally Pembrook and Maggie Pembrook; 5 great grandchildren, Braden, Chloe, Blayne, Emalyn and Isaac; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing with the family present will be from 6-8 PM on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating Elresa's life will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at New Home Free Will Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK with Pastor Jerry Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, OK. Pallbearers are Jeremy Poplin, Trent Pembrook, Justin Doerr and Brian Pembrook.
