Ellen J. Kilgore

Ellen J. Kilgore, age 78, longtime resident of Coweta, passed away peacefully at her home in Coweta, OK on Monday morning, June 26, 2023. She was born on April 25, 1945, in Wagoner, OK to Osker and Rachel (Coe) Sisco.

Ellen is survived by her two sons, Loy Kilgore (Salina Ogg) of Coweta, OK, and Durrel Kilgore (Travis) of Wagoner, OK; two granddaughters, Jessica Kilgore and Kirsten Kilgore; two great-grandchildren, Blakely Williams and Poppy Kilgore-Wike; one brother, Tommy Sisco (Belle) of Wagoner, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Osker and Rachel Sisco, her grandson, Austin Kilgore, her brother, David, and her sisters, Edith and Barbara.

Ellen was a talented beautician for many years, bringing joy and confidence to her clients. She was also a dedicated homemaker, always putting the needs of her family first. Her love and devotion to her family were evident in everything she did.

In her spare time, Ellen enjoyed playing Bingo, painting, fishing, and hunting. She had a passion for creating beautiful flower arrangements, which she often shared with friends and family.

Above all, Ellen cherished the time spent with her family. Her warm and caring nature made her home a welcoming place for loved ones to gather. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will remember her for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.

Services celebrating Ellen's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK, with Rev. Willie Gilbert officiating. Ellen will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Ray Sisco, Lynn Kilgore, Cooter Kilgore, Kenneth Kilgore, Kirby Kilgore, and Rhet Wike.
