Eleanor Jean MacLean, age 86, resident of Broken Arrow departed this life on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at her home in Broken Arrow, OK. She was born on December 20, 1932 in Boston, MA to Frederick and Edith (Fowle) Beals. Eleanor married the love of her life, David Young MacLean on March 3, 1951 in Gonic, NH. They moved to Oklahoma in 2001 from Grass Valley, CA. She was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family. Eleanor enjoyed reading, baking, sewing, working crossword puzzles and playing the organ. Eleanor is survived by one son, Charles MacLean of Tulsa, OK; two daughters, Arlene Hamilton and husband, Jeffery of Broken Arrow, OK and Beverly Sanders and husband, Tracy of Broken Arrow, OK; one brother, Donald Beals and wife, Madeline of Newnan, GA; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, David Young MacLean; her parents, Frederick and Edith Beals; one daughter, Evelyn Jean Smith; and one brother Walter Allen Beals and wife Betty A graveside service celebrating Eleanor's life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK.
