Earlene Tucker

Earlene was born on July 19, 1925 to Elex and Leslie (Ewing) Walker in Muskogee, OK. On Saturday, January 3, 2009, Earlene peacefully went to be with the Lord at the age of 83 years at Coweta Manor Nursing Home in Coweta, OK. Earlene was an only child. Earlene accepted Christ at an early age and she attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Porter, OK until her health failed. Earlene graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, OK. She later attended Business College. Earlene worked as a grader at Blithfill Cannery in Muskogee, OK for 7 years. Earlene enjoyed singing and writing songs. Earlene and Harold L. Tucker were united in marriage on October 4, 1978 in Tulsa, OK. Earlene was married to Harold for many years and they resided in Porter, OK. Earlene had no children. Earlene was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Tucker; her mother, Leslie Ewing; her father, Elex Walker; and her 2 cousins, Marcella Meritt and LaQuita Calvert. Earlene leaves to mourn her passing cousins, Gilda Edwards and Anika Calvert, both of Houston, TX, Rose Butcher of Lawton, OK, Sarah Meadows of Ft. Worth, TX, Mark Butcher, Isaiah Butcher, Jr. and Naomi Butcher, all of Tulsa, OK, Lydia McConnell of Broken Arrow, OK, Barry Williams of Morris, OK, other relatives, and a host of friends. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Lincoln Cemetery in Porter, OK. Pastor Larnnie Murphy will officiate. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home, Coweta. Family and friends may view the obituary and send condolences to the family online at www.wrightfh.net.
