Earl Alden Meadows, age 84, passed from this life Thursday, February 17, 2022, at his home in Coweta, Oklahoma. Alden was born June 24, 1937 to Virgil Matthew and Callie Thelma (Rhodes) Meadows in Coweta.

On January 7, 1956, he and Loretta Wood were married. They were blessed with 3 children.

Alden began his career as a welder, working his way into quality control and became an authorized inspector of boilers and pressure vessels, serving the oil and gas industry. Alden was of the Christian faith and was baptized in 1955. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandkids and family and loved to fish and hunt and ride around on his 4-wheeler.

Alden is survived by his wife, Loretta of the home; their son, Kendall Alden Meadows and wife Celia of Tulsa, Oklahoma, their son, Randall Alan Meadows and wife Trish of Coweta, Oklahoma, and their daughter, Shelli Denise Meadows of Coweta, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Faye Roxanne Middleton of Frisco, Texas, Kendra Rose O'Haire and husband Daragh of Frisco, Texas, and Elaine Jo (E.J.) Etzkorn and husband Jacob of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bailey Alan Meadows and wife Savannah of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Braden Randall Meadows and wife Bailey of Coweta, Oklahoma; 3 great grandchildren, Layla Rose and Carter Dwight Middleton of Frisco, Texas and Cash Alden Etzkorn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, along with 3 more on the way this year. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Beverly Kuehn and husband Edwin, his brother-in-law, Kirby Sturgeon and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Alden was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Callie Meadows, his sister, Velma Moss (Dudley), his brother, John Meadows (Lois), his brother, Vaughn Meadows (Dorothy), sisters-in-law, Lola Meadows, Lomeda Hall (Glenn), Joella Rampey (Clifford), Patsy Rampey (Willard), Nita Sturgeon and Helen Hawkins, and brothers-in-law, JT Wood (Lorene) and Gene Wood (Mary).

The family would like to thank all the Allied Home Health staff and especially nurse Laura Mitchell and aid Karen Choate, along with Allied Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 24, 2022 with the family present to receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Services celebrating Alden’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Cedar Ridge Christian Church in Coweta, Oklahoma. Alden will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
