Earl L. Boren, Jr., age 78, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Earl was born on December 5, 1929 in Mountain Park, Oklahoma to Earl Lee, Sr. and Jessie Ruby (Privette) Boren. He attended school in Matoy, Oklahoma until the 11th grade. Earl enlisted in the United States Army on July 8, 1946 and was honorably discharged on June 22, 1949. He and Maria De Los Angeles were united in marriage on August 18, 1981 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Earl worked as a mechanic at Hatfield Service Station for 20 years. His hobbies included fishing. Earl will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Left behind to cherish his memories is his wife of 27 years, Maria of the home; his son, Earl Lee Boren, III of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; his two daughters, Phyllis Diane Lashley and Linda Marie Jones, both of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; his sister, Paula Chasteen of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 nephew; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, and one daughter. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Tolbert officiating. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Coweta.
