Earl Leroy Bond

Earl Leroy Bond, age 80, long time resident of Coweta passed away Friday morning, September 14, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Earl was born on January 2, 1932 in Broken Arrow, OK and was the son of Roy and Dora (Baker) Bond. Earl was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enlisted in the Army on October 9, 1949 and he was honorably discharged on August 31, 1950. Earl and Lorene Jo Dodson were united in marriage on March 7, 1951 in Coweta, OK and she preceded him in death on June 25, 2010. Earl worked as a welder at Pro Quip for over 25 years until he retired in 1995. He enjoyed horses, animals, watching bullriding and he liked collecting things. Earl will be missed as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Earl is lovingly survived by his four daughters, Patricia Lee Fox and husband, Ken, of Coweta, OK, Vicki Diana Robbins and husband, George, of Vinita, OK, Tracey Ellen Hunton and husband, Patrick, of Verdigris, OK and Jody Lynn Scarbrough and husband, Joe, of Coweta, OK; 9 grandchildren, Bryon & Becky Fox, KC & Hannah Fox, Keith & Christy Robbins, Jamie & Kreg Bynum, Heather & Tim Parker, Haley Hunton, David & Amy Rice, Josh & Brittany Rice and Ben Scarbrough; 16 great grandchildren, Alexis Dobbs, Checotah, Taylor, Roper, Cash & Harlee Fox, Jacob & Chance Fox, TJ & Vincent Parker, Blake Robbins, Cameron Hensley, Vanessa Esterbrook, Bailey & Avery Bynum, David Dylan Rice and Ali Jo on the way; and other relatives and friends. Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Jo Bond and his parents, Roy Bond and Dora Rehbein. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, September 16, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, September 17, 2012 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta with Pastor Daivd Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are K.C. Fox, Bryon Fox, Keith Robbins, Josh Rice, Craig Bynum, Tim Parker, Jacob Fox and Benjamin Scarbrough.
