Dwight Edward Long

Dwight Edward Long, age 71, resident of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. Dwight was born on May 12, 1946 to Daniel and Opal Juanita (Walker) Long in Coweta, OK. He was a graduate of Coweta High School. After graduating high school, Dwight attended Northeastern State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He enlisted in the Navy in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1972. Dwight worked as a Computer Scientist at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for many years. He always enjoyed working on computers. Dwight was preceded in death by his parents. Dwight is survived by 1 son, Ryan Long of Maryland; 1 daughter, Megan Long of Maryland; 2 brothers, Carthel Long and wife, Carol of Porter, OK and Leslie Long and wife, Carla of Coweta, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 12-8 PM on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating Dwight's life will be at 10 AM on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Jerold Pilant officiating.
