Dustin Bradley Hulet

December 19, 1970 — April 4, 2023

Broken Arrow

Dustin Bradley Hulet, 52, departed his Earthly home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.  He was born December 19, 1970 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William Henry Hulet and Linda Lucille Edwards.  Dustin graduated from Union Public Schools in 1989.  He was gifted with the ability to sing and play guitar, and was in his comfort zone fronting the band, “AKA”.  Professionally, Dustin’s work really wasn’t work, as he loved what he did, which was automotive “management” as he preferred to call it.  Rebuilding engines for old hot rods, preferably Pontiacs, was his expertise.  Aside from the 30+ years in mechanics, Dustin also obtained an Associates degree in Criminal Justice from Tulsa Community College.

Dustin was athletic when he was younger, playing football, wrestling, baseball, etc.  When his daughters, Kendra and Sterling, decided to cheer and play soccer, he was right there, coaching both sports and mixing cheer music.  Dustin never met a stranger, even stopping to help stranded motorists.  His smile was a constant, and his ability to remember faces and names was uncanny.  At St. Francis while receiving his final dosage of treatments, he was laughing and telling stories with each and every family and friend that visited him.  These few days were the “best days in a long time”, in his words.

Dustin is survived by his two daughters, Kendra Hulet and Sterling Hulet, his granddaughter, La’Lani Taylor, his parents, William “Bill” and Linda Hulet, his brothers, Mark Hulet and Lance Hulet and sister-in law, Lori, niece, Bailey Hulet, nephews, Keagan Hulet, Austin Hulet, Landon Hulet, and Killian Hulet, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as his former wife, mother to his children, Susan Boone.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Services celebrating Dustin’s life will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma, to be followed by graveside services at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
