Dorothy Storey

Dorothy Bell Storey, age 79, of Tulsa passed from this life on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She was born on August 2, 1930 in O'Neill, NE to William and Emma (Thavnet) Abbott. Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother to her family. She attended school in Interior, SD. Dorothy worked as a caregiver for the elderly for ten years. She moved from Poteau, OK to Tulsa, OK in 1991. Dorothy's hobbies included watching television, playing cards, and playing handheld poker games. Dorothy is lovingly survived by one daughter, Mary Pippitt and her husband, Gary, of Broken Arrow, OK; one grandson, Larry Brown and his wife, Lacy, of Tulsa, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and 13 brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2010 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Claude Taylor officiating.
