Dorothy Pauline Meadows

Dorothy Pauline Meadows, age 80, longtime Coweta resident went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday evening, August 5, 2019 at her home in Coweta, OK surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born on September 2, 1938 in Drumright, OK and was the daughter of Horace C. and Pauline (Aldridge) Cooper. She was a graduate of Drumright High School in Drumright, OK. Dorothy married the love of her life, Carl Vaughn Meadows in February 1969 in Oklahoma. She worked at McDonnell Douglas where she met Vaughn, Bama Pies, and National Presort of Oklahoma. Dorothy was also a devoted homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She was a faithful member of Clarksville Free Will Baptist Church in Porter, OK. Dorothy was a virtuous woman of God, who was known for her loving heart, sweet smile, and doing whatever she could to help others. She enjoyed camping with her husband Vaughn, road trips, and going to eat every week with Ronnie and Teresa at Golden Corral. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed her plants and flowers. Dorothy will be missed beyond measure, but not forgotten. She was loved by everyone and will forever live on in our hearts. Dorothy is survived by 5 children, Teresa Poplin and husband Ronnie, Dena Miller, Brent Meadows and wife LaRena, Floyd Bibb and wife Karla, and Greg Meadows and wife Michelle, all of Coweta, OK; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Joanna Cooper; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Vaughn Meadows in 2015; her parents, Horace and Pauline Cooper; 1 son, Dennis Bibb; 1 daughter, Kimberly Hermann; and 7 siblings. The graveside service celebrating Dorothy's life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Family and friends may share memories online at www.brownfamilycares.com.
