Dorothy Helen Marshall

Dorothy Helen Marshall, resident of Coweta, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday evening, February 14, 2019 at Coweta Manor Nursing Home in Coweta, OK at the age of 97 years, 3 months and 18 days. Dorothy was born on October 27, 1921 in Cement, OK to Owen and Marie McKinney (Page) Pixler. She married the love of her life, Roy S. Marshall on July 27, 1938 in Cordell, OK. Dorothy was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. Dorothy was a former member of the 2nd & Adams Church of Christ in Elk City, OK and a current member of the Church of Christ in Coweta. She was a servant to the Lord and oversaw the food ministry at the 2nd & Adams Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, quilting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dorothy was very family oriented and loved putting together family meals and get togethers. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Sandra Hildebrant of Crowley, TX and Barbara Harp and her husband, Elgin Jr. of Coweta, OK; her son, Kenneth James "K.J." and his wife, Brenda of Bixby, OK; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Roy S. Marshall in 2011; her parents, Owen and Marie Pixler; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and 5 half-brothers. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services celebrating Dorothy's life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Church of Christ in Coweta, OK with Keno Shrum officiating.
