Dorothy J. Foster of Coweta, age 82, a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, February 15, 2012 at her home in Coweta, OK. Dorothy was born on February 9, 1930 in Wagoner County. Dorothy was the daughter of Ed and Vicy (Acord) Hefner. Dorothy and Hulen Foster were married on August 10, 1946 in Coweta, OK and were married 59 years until he preceded her in death on February 4, 2005. Dorothy was a homemaker for most of her life. Dorothy was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church in Coweta. Dorothy enjoyed gospel music and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Dorothy is lovingly survived by her two sons, Rick Foster and wife, Patsy, of Coweta and Elmer Foster and Mindy Blair, of Coweta; one brother, Eddie Hefner of Wagoner; one sister, Beatrice Perry of Wagoner; 5 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Vicy Hefner, her husband, Hulen Foster, one daughter, Deborah Foster, two brothers, two sisters, and one grandson, Andrew Foster. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, February 17, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services for Dorothy are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Lone Star Baptist Church in Coweta with Rev. Sam Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Terry Foster, Greg Foster, Ben Foster, Charlie Burke, Gary Daniels, and Jim Vandiver.
