Dora May Jackson, age 82, of Coweta passed from this life on Monday, June 28, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was born on August 9, 1927 in Mulberry, AR to Alfred and Mary (Jackson) Edwards. Dora was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family. She received her education in the Broken Arrow school system. Dora and Raymond Jackson were united in marriage on July 18, 1946 in Tulsa, OK. She was a homemaker for most of her life and she also worked as a machine operator for Love Envelope. Dora was a member of the Weer Church of God of Prophecy. Her hobbies included gardening. Dora will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Dora is lovingly survived by her son, Larry Jackson of Coweta, OK; her daughter, Sue Benigar and her husband, Jim, of Coweta, OK; two brothers, A. C. Edwards of Coweta, OK and Jerry Edwards of Porter, OK; three grandchildren, Michelle Jackson, Monica Jackson, and Erika Gibson; five great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Dora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Clifton Edwards, and one grandson, Wyatt Jackson. Graveside services for Dora will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Shahan Cemetery with Pastor Robert Shaw and Pastor James Stone officiating. Interment will follow.
