Donny Gene Secrest

Donny Gene Secrest, age 64, lifelong Coweta resident went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 20, 2022 in Coweta, Oklahoma. Donny was born on March 30, 1958 in Coweta, Oklahoma and was the son of George Lee and Retha Faye (Yocham) Secrest. He attended Coweta schools and was a 1976 graduate of Coweta High School. Donny was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Donny is survived by his two children, Dustin Secrest of Coweta, Oklahoma and Brad McClary of Coweta, Oklahoma; his mother, Retha Faye Secrest of Coweta, Oklahoma; his twin brother, Ronny Secrest of Coweta, Oklahoma; his sister, Teresa Griggs of Coweta, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Hailey Secrest, Adisyn Secrest, Danica Secrest, Liberty Collinson, Laci Sowers, and Bradsyn McClary; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Donny was preceded in death by his father, George Lee Secrest, his older brother, Keith Secrest, his maternal grandparents, Art and Mel Yocham, and his paternal grandparents, George and Edith Secrest.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma. Graveside services celebrating Donny’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Ed Rutherford officiating.
