Services celebrating the life of Donnie H. Tackett will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Brown Family Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Donnie H. Tackett, age 74, resident of Tahlequah, OK (formerly of Coweta) went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday evening, September 6, 2018 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Donnie was born on October 24, 1943 in Fort Gibson, OK to Lester and Lottie (Gragg) Tackett. He was a 1963 graduate of Union High School in Tulsa, OK. Donnie married the love of his life, Cleta Tackett on January 11, 1964 in Broken Arrow, OK and together they had three children, Michelle, Gregory and Julie. He worked as a Utility Salesman at Utility Supply Company in Tulsa for over 40 years and retired in 2016. Donnie enjoyed farming, watching football especially OU and he also loved spending time with his family. Donnie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cleta Tackett of the home in Tahlequah, OK; 3 children, D. Michelle Glenn of Coweta, OK, Gregory Don Tackett of Tulsa, OK and Julie Ann Dixon of Broken Arrow, OK; 5 grandchildren, K.C. Hefley, Ashlin Remis, Braden Remis, Malley Dixon and Noah Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
