Donald Lee Stevens, age 72, of Porter, OK passed away peacefully Friday morning, April 5, 2013 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Donald was born on December 2, 1940 in Poplar Bluff, MO and was the son of Lester Monroe and Alta Irene (Edgar) Stevens. Donald and Helen Parks were united in marriage on May 21, 1988 in Hutchinson, KS. Donald was a truck driver for over 44 years until he retired in 2003. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Donald enjoyed fishing, reading, watching TV, talking about politics and he loved his dogs. Donald is survived by his wife, Helen Stevens of the home; his four children, Lester Joe Stevens and wife, Karen, of Coweta, OK, Teresa Stack and husband, Doug, of Broken Arrow, OK, Dennis Stevens of St. Louis, MO and Jennifer Woolman and husband, Randy, of Skiatook, OK; two brothers, Steve Stevens of Springfield, MO and Andrew Barnett of Lebanon, MO; two sisters, Mildred Thompson of Poplar Bluff, MO and Pauline Martin of Poplar Bluff, MO; three step-daughters, Delta Holderness of Tualatin, OR, Nancy DenHartog of Anderson, SC and April Basgall of Hutchinson, KS; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service for Donald will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Cedar Ridge Christian Church in Coweta, OK.
