Dixie Ruth (Richardson) Milam

Dixie Ruth (Richardson) Milam beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, and caregiver went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 10, 2024, at the age of 86.

Dixie was born October 20, 1937, in Berryhill, OK to Phenya Katherine (Jones) Richardson and William David Richardson. She was married in April 1957 to William Osee Milam. She gave birth to three children, Debra Kay Thompson, Steven Brent Milam (Emma), Glenn David Milam (Carmen).

She is survived by her brothers, Phil, Sammy, and JB, along with all her children and two grandchildren, Correna Jo Thompson, and LaShonda Kay Ritter (Barry), and 9 great-grandchildren. Her final job was caregiver for Olivia, Julia, and Claire Butkin.

Dixie took great joy in serving Jesus and caring for her family. She would read her Bible and share Jesus with her family and friends encouraging them to follow Christ. Her heart was always full of love, and she never said anything bad about another person. Dixie always smiled and was so pleasant toward everyone. We will miss her, but we have peace knowing she is with her Heavenly Father whom she loved and praised with her whole heart.

A Celebration of Life to honor Dixie will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at 6011 W. 37th Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
