Dick Lawrence Dalton

Dick Lawrence Dalton, age 75, resident of Coweta departed this life on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, OK. Dick was born on August 16, 1943 in Sand Springs, OK and was the son of Bob Henry and Laura Clara (Thyfault) Dalton. He attended Holy Family Cathedral School and then graduated from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, OK. Dick was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1962 to 1966 and was aboard the USS Grenadier. He married the love of his life, Jeanne Louise Anthony on December 20, 1969 in Hawthorne, CA. Dick worked at International Bus Manufacturing Plant in Tulsa as an Assistant Team Leader until he retired in 2006. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Coweta where he loved serving and the Coweta American Legion Post 226. Dick enjoyed working on cars and hot rods. He lived a servant's life and loved helping other people. He very much enjoyed playing jokes on those around him and loved making people laugh and smile. His grandchildren were his life and he loved spending time with them. Dick is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jeanne Dalton of the home in Coweta, OK; four children, Elizabeth Weber and husband Jeff of San Diego, CA, Chris Dalton of Tulsa, OK, Amber Rogers of Coweta, OK and Robert Dalton and wife Brittany of Broken Arrow, OK; two sisters, Theresa Fosburg of Wagoner, OK and Catherine Titgen and husband William of Muskogee, OK; one brother, Raymond Dalton of Chino Valley, AZ; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Henry and Laura Clara Dalton; two sisters; and five brothers. Viewing for Dick will be from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home. Rosary Service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2019 and Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2019, both at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Coweta, OK. Entombment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa, OK. Pallbearers are Barry Fosburg, Stanley Fosburg, Sean Kannarr, Justin Shaw, Bob Dalton and Pepe Ramirez.
