Derek Kay

Derek Alan Kay, age 57, of Coweta, OK passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 in Broken Arrow, OK. He was born on September 22, 1954 in Bromley, England and was the son of Charles and Marion Kay. Derek received his education in London. He was a machinist at Sawyer Manufacturing in Tulsa, OK for 17 years. Derek and Donna McNurlen were married on August 4, 2001 in Eureka Springs, AR. He enjoyed watching TV and was a Jeff Gordon NASCAR fan. Derek is survived by his wife, Donna Kay of the home; his step-children, Angie Bruce and husband, Greg, of FL, Brian Frizzell and wife, Belva of TN, Tonya Gawf and husband, Jim of IL and Robin White of Coweta, OK; 11 step-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Derek was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service for Derek will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Mason, Tony McMullen, Marvin Steelmon, Larry Hanover and Matt Tynes.
