Delores Jean Hamilton

Delores Jean Hamilton, age 72, longtime Coweta resident entered into the Gates of Heaven on Thursday morning, December 15, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Delores was born on August 20, 1950 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Samuel and Ethel Alfa (Stephens) Perryman.  She attended school in Coweta and received her high school GED.  Delores married William “Bill” Odell Hamilton on November 30, 1983 in Boone County, Arkansas.  She was a bus driver at Broken Arrow Public Schools and Coweta Public Schools for 30 years.  Delores enjoyed crafts of all sorts, reading, but her greatest joy came from her family.  She loved Christmas and enjoyed making it special for her family.

Delores is survived by her children, Will Hamilton of Coweta, Oklahoma, Amelia Crowson and husband Michael of Rocky Point, Oklahoma, and Jack Wade Fletcher and wife Lisa of Coweta, Oklahoma; her grandson, Sairus Thompson; her brother, Rhol Perryman and wife Kathy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her sister, Melissa Napier of Checotah, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hamilton, her parents, Samuel and Ethel Perryman, her brothers, Dallas Perryman, Nolan Perryman, Harry Perryman, and Steven Perryman, and her sister, Brenda Delancey.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Delores will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma with Carolyn Shaw officiating.  Delores will be laid to rest next to her husband, Bill at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
