Deanna Fay Stacy, age 62, of Nowata, Oklahoma departed this life on Friday evening, February 26, 2010 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Nowata, Oklahoma with her loving family at her side. She was born on December 15, 1947 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma to Robert and Neota (Ellis) Ward. Deanna was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt to her family. She graduated from Coweta High School in 1966. She then attended Tulsa Business School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Deanna and Cecil Stacy were united in marriage on August 31, 1968 in Coweta, Oklahoma. She worked for the Department of Human Services as a child welfare aid for 10 years. Deanna had previously been employed with Nowata Public Schools as a para professional special education teacher. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Deanna helped organize Teen Odyssey, which is a Teen Health Conference in Nowata, Oklahoma. She enjoyed sewing and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Deanna is lovingly survived by her husband of 41 years, Cecil of the home; her son, Johnny Stacy and his wife, Jolene, of Nowata, Oklahoma; her daughter, Alana Owens and her husband, Phillip, of Nowata, Oklahoma; one brother, Dennis Ward of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; two uncles; other relatives and a host of friends. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jerry Bob Ward. Funeral services for Deanna will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Church of Christ, 125 W. Cypress St., Coweta, Oklahoma 74429. Rex Shrum will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma. Broadway, Coweta, Oklahoma 74429, (918) 486-5515. Casket Bearers will be Dennis Ward, Gary Miller, Tom Ward, James Ward, Gary Ellis, and Darrell Ellis.
