Davy Potter

Davy Lee Potter, age 83, long-time resident of Coweta passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, January 16, 2013 at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. Davy was born on April 20, 1929 in Coweta, OK and was the son of William David and Alta May (Mizer) Potter. Davy and Sibyl Joyce Potter were united in marriage on September 28, 1951 in Coweta, OK. Davy worked at CE Natco as a machinist for 33 years until he retired in 1984. Davy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta and he enjoyed fishing. Davy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sibyl Joyce Potter of the home; his daughter, Karen Wight and husband, Jim, of The Colony, TX; 2 grandchildren, Colt Ryan Wight and Bailey Madison Wight; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Davy was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Butch and Randy Potter, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. A private family service will be held for Davy.
