David Wheeler

David R. Wheeler, resident of Bixby, OK, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 19 days. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather to his family. David was born on March 29, 1947 in Tulsa, OK to Ray and Alice (Burton) Wheeler. He graduated from Will Rogers High School in Claremore, OK. After graduating high school, David attended University of California-Irvine and Oral Roberts University. He served in the United States Air Force. David and Carol Ann Frakes were married on July 17, 1971 in Tulsa, OK. He owned and operated Durable Medical Equipment for the past 15 years and was also a Tulsa Police Officer for 5 years. David was a member of the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow. He enjoyed golfing, guitars, singing and he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. David is lovingly survived by his wife of 39 years, Carol Ann of Bixby, OK; his two sons, David Wheeler and his wife, Sarah, of Tulsa, OK and Michael Wheeler of Bixby, OK; his two daughters, Jennifer Conley and her husband, Wayne, of Bixby, OK and Madison Wheeler of Bixby, OK; his sister, Brenda Wheeler of Bixby, OK; four grandchildren, Cody Conley, Cole Conley, Caroline Wheeler and Abigail Wheeler; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. David was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Wheeler. A memorial service for David will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow. A private committal will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Family and friends may send condolences to David's family online @ www.wrightfh.net.
