David Loyd Pool, age 61, of Coweta, OK passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) at his home in Coweta, OK. David was born on August 7, 1953 to Odean and Minnie Belle (Noe) Pool in Broken Arrow, OK. He was a 1971 graduate of Broken Arrow High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air National Guard. David and Eva J. Tyler were married on November 9, 1973 in Coweta, OK. He worked at Braden Winch as a Machinist for 40 years until he retired in 2013. David was a former president of the Aero Space Workers, former president of AFL-CIO, volunteer Fire Chief of the Coweta Fire Department in the 1980s and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Porter, OK. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cows and quail hunting. David was preceded in death by his parents, Odean and Minnie Belle Pool and 3 sisters, Sharon, Nancy and Grace. David is survived by his wife of 41 years, Eva Pool of Coweta, OK; 3 daughters, Amber Dawn Proctor and husband, Randy, of Broken Arrow, OK, Cari Ann Carter and husband, J.R., of Coweta, OK and Elizabeth Nicole Pool of Coweta, OK; 1 son, David "Josh" Pool of Coweta, OK; 1 brother, Phillip Pool and wife, Claudette, of Coweta, OK; 5 grandchildren, Stormi, Tyler, Eva, Chase and Issac; 1 great grandchild on the way, Kennedi; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. A memorial service celebrating David's life will be at 10 am on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones and Rev. Bobby Jenkins officiating.
