David Johnson

David Wayne Johnson, age 66, of Coweta passed away on Friday evening, January 1, 2010 at Wagoner Community Hospital in Wagoner, OK. He was born on November 20, 1943 in Chickasha, OK to Coney and Jane (Burns) Brooks. David was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather. He attended school in Jay, OK. David served in the United States Navy from December 27, 1960 to May 25, 1962. He and Kala Cobb were united in marriage on July 31, 1976 in Tulsa, OK. David worked as a truck driver for Zipp Delivery for ten years. He enjoyed fishing, horses, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. David will be greatly missed by his loved ones and friends. David is lovingly survived by his wife of 33 years, Kala of the home; his two sons, Cris Rake of Tulsa, OK and Patrick Rake of Tulsa, OK; his two daughters, Shelley Davis of Coweta, OK and Megan Johnson of Coweta, OK; his mother, Jane Brooks of Sapulpa, OK; one sister, Connie Hall of Sapulpa, OK; one granddaughter, Lillianna Marie Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. David was preceded in death by his father and one brother. A memorial service for David will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
