Darvin Wayne Williams

Darvin Wayne Williams, age 87, resident of Coweta went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday evening, August 26, 2022 in Coweta, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.  Darvin was born on November 8, 1934 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Rufus Edward and Addie (Austin) Williams.  He received his education from Tahlequah Public Schools in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  Darvin was a talented carpenter for over 50 years.  He was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Holiness Church in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Darvin was passionate about his faith, beliefs, family, and his love for his Savior Jesus Christ.  He enjoyed reading his Bible, drinking coffee, wood working, and he loved spending time with his family.

Darvin is survived by three children, Daniel Wayne Williams of Coweta, Oklahoma, Tammy Lynn Haner and husband Ryan of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Derek Edward Williams and wife Autumn of Coweta, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Lindy Sue Haner, Ryan Edward Haner, Jr., Stormi Sue Williams, and Derek Edward Williams, II; one granddaughter on the way, Gracey Lynn Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Darvin was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Edward and Addie Williams, one sister, Francis Stevens, and two brothers, Charles Williams and R.E. Williams.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma with the family present from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.  Services celebrating Darvin’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Oneta Holiness Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with Pastor Thomas Green officiating.
