Darrel Lee Carver, also known as “Heartbreak”, age 72, resident of Haskell went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday afternoon, October 8, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Darrel was born on October 16, 1949 in Coweta, Oklahoma to Ronald Dean and Edna Louise (Gilbert) Carver.  He was a 1967 graduate of Coweta High School.  Darrel was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam.  Darrel married the love of his life, Pamela Lynn Orsburn on November 15, 1980.  He was a truck driver for many years until he retired in 2016.  Darrel always had a love for working on cars and hotrods.

Darrel is survived by his wife of the home, Pam Carver of Haskell, Oklahoma; his sons, Lee Carver and fiancé Tonya Wheat of Haskell, Oklahoma and Jake Carver and girlfriend Emma Hinkle of Haskell, Oklahoma; his bonus sons, Gooby Jay of Haskell, Oklahoma and Christian Hughey of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his mother, Edna Carver of Coweta, Oklahoma; his brothers, Ronnie Carver of Coweta, Oklahoma and Darren Carver and wife Sherry of Coweta, Oklahoma; his sister, Sharon Steeley and husband Wayne of Coweta, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Austin Rodman and Justin Carver; his father-in-law, Charles Orsburn and Barbara Phillippe of Wagoner, Oklahoma; his brothers-in-law, Chuck Orsburn and fiancé Lana Cheatam of Coweta, Oklahoma and Chris Orsburn of Wagoner, Oklahoma; his sister-in-law, Valerie Trout and husband Mike Childress of Wagoner, Oklahoma; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Darrel was preceded in death by his son, PFC Cody Montana Carver, his father, Ronald Carver, his paternal grandparents, Roy and Bertha Carver, his maternal grandparents, Elzie H. and Fannie Gilbert, his mother-in-law, Edna Orsburn, and his sister-in-law, Marlene Carver.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Services celebrating Darrel’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Haskell First Assembly of God Church in Haskell, Oklahoma with Pastor Larry Brown and Pastor Donald Hogue, Jr. officiating.  Darrel will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Brown Funeral Home or https://gofund.me/b41cb0b9 to help with funeral expenses.

Pallbearers are Lee Carver, Jake Carver, Gooby Jay, Christian Hughey, Charlie Graves, and Robbie Jones.  Honorary Pallbearers are Darren Carver, Chuck Orsburn, Chris Orsburn, Wayne Steeley, and Ronnie Carver.
